学生就业/Student Internships or Work Study is funded through 金融援助. 学生就业 and Student Internship positions can be on campus or at off-campus partners. The 学生就业 program is a great way for students to gain work experience and job skills to prepare for life after college.
To be eligible for 学生就业, you MUST:
- Have completed the FAFSA process for the current academic year
- Be enrolled in at least six credit hours
- Not currently be employed as a regular or temporary 太阳集团娱乐场登陆网站 employee
- Be enrolled in and making progress toward graduation from a 太阳集团娱乐场登陆网站 金融援助-approved program
- Have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0
If you are interested in working part-time as a Student Employee, start the process by completing a Request for 学生就业. Once we receive your request, the Center for Student Careers and Employment will contact you regarding your eligibility.

As of January 1, 2023, all on campus student employees will be paid $12.00/hr in accordance with our state minimum wage increase.
Student Interns hourly wage can vary depending on the site they are placed at and the work that is being performed. Student Interns will be paid no less than $15.00/hr.
A Student Employee or Student Intern can work up to 20 hours per week.
Student 员工 are paid just as regular 太阳集团娱乐场登陆网站 employees. If you are hired as a Student Employee, you will be paid via check or direct deposit every other week.
学生就业 is only for current 太阳集团娱乐场登陆网站 students who are enrolled in at least six credit hours. 但是，您可以访问 SJC应聘 to view other part-time and full-time positions.
学生就业 should be treated like a regular part-time job. If you are hired as a Student Employee, you will want to be sure you show up to work on time and communicate with your supervisor about any absences. Be sure to ask your supervisor questions to understand your job duties fully. A positive attitude and friendly demeanor will also help you succeed in your student-employee position.

If you are interested in a 学生就业 or Student Internship position for the Fall semester, the best time to apply is in July.
If you are interested in a 学生就业 or Student Internship position for the Spring semester, the best time to apply would be in January.
If you are interested in 学生就业 or a Student Internship for the Summer semester, the best time to apply would be in May.
You want to be sure that you have completed the FAFSA process, including submitting 验证文件, and you want to be sure you are enrolled in at least six credit hours before you complete the Request for 学生就业.

Student Internships are off campus positions that place students with an employer that is related to their major. Student Interns are paid at a higher rate and will earn at least $15.00 per hour depending on the internship site and the work being performed. Student Interns can work up to 20 hours per week. If you are interested in becoming a Student Intern, you would still need to complete the Request for 学生就业 so we can check your eligibility.
